2nd pétanque competition
The second petanque competition only took place on one day. The participants gathered at 9.30 in the morning and "Cap"-Jürgen outlined the day's schedule. After David had drawn the individual teams, the competition started at the same time. The lunch break was kept shorter so that one day was enough for the competition.
Third place went to Javier and David (and Emiro, who stood in for Javier). Second place went to Michael and Gilles, while first place went to Jürgen and Dietmar.
Medals were awarded to the winners and the participation fee was distributed proportionally to the three winning teams.
The Área Cámper Mazarrón has now extended the pitch to include more pétanque lanes. The popularity of this sport is very high.

Gilles and Arlette
Gilles and Arlette were the organisers for the two-day pétanque competition at the Área Cámper Mazarrón. More than 20 people had registered and so there was a full programme, fun and enjoyment included.
They are very happy to pass on their enthusiasm for this leisure activity to others. They help, practise together and show tricks. We couldn't imagine better ambassadors for pétanque, they are Gilles and Arlette.
So it came about that at the request of Javier - the pitch operator - they both took over the organisation for the 1st pétanque competition.

Javier opened the competition days with the throw of the target ball and wished all participants a good success.
Gilles and Arlette received a restaurant voucher from the participants as a thank you for their efforts.
The competition
The competition took place in beautiful weather. The clothing was casual, partly colourful.
The finale
We are honest, we would have liked to see every participant reach the final. The Spaniards Antonia and Rabato made it, the Germans Peter and Peter were in the other team.

The award ceremony
On the second day of play, the winners were decided late in the afternoon. First place went to Antonia and Rabato, followed by Peter and Peter in second place. Whereby actually everyone won: The participants, the organisers and the spectators. It was a fantastic two days of play and great togetherness, fair play in fact.
